Streets Reimagined were part of a team commissioned by Highways England to work with the local community to research and then develop plans for an area of land under a motorway corridor.

A key focus of the study was exploring opportunities to enhance nature and bio-diversity in what is currently a very hard and grey landscape. This included looking at ways to open up and celebrate the River Frome which passes underneath the motorway including a section that is channelled and culverted.

The process included a series of pop-up street stalls, observation studies and walking interviews with different user groups including the nearby Mosque and skaters that use this space.

The project is ongoing.
