The proposed 12,000 seat Bristol Arena would be a landmark development for the city. However, its proposed location, on Arena Island, to the east of the main Temple Meads station, is challenged in terms of pedestrian accessibility.
Streets Reimagined were commissioned to review existing pedestrian wayfinding provision and to develop proposals to better facilitate walking to the arena.
The team developed a pedestrian audit process which undertook street level analysis, considering a range for users. This led to the development of a pedestrian wayfinding strategy and costed proposal for improvements.
